Kelis Sends Love To MosaMuse

When I first started blogging in 2009 (wow 2009), I was honored to get a quick shout out from Kelis. You all know, Kelis is one of my absolute favorites. Her style is what Rihanna uses now, and you all think is so 'fresh'. Kelis was doing it in the 90s. And yes, Rihanna does it well, nothing against her. My point is that Kelis was such a trailblazer in fashion, and has been highly underrated. She is high on MosaMuse's list. This small note was something I just came across on my computer that made me smile. Just like one day when I come across this blog on the web many years later, I'm going to smile!

Meet Roberta Narciso

Say hello to Roberta Narciso, a newcomer to Elite Model Management. She is from Angola and had her runway debut for Valentino in Paris. She had since walked for Prada, Vivienne Westwood, and Gareth Pugh and appeared in Italian Vogue. But hello, can she get some attention in NYC? I really like her look, I like that she looks naturally pretty. She is known for her hair and her legs, but I personally think that her most appealing features are her eyes. Lets see what she does next.

Beauty By Picasso

It seems like I just went item crazy for a second. I've been overwhelmed with work, so I just started throwing up everything I thought was cute. But my blog used to be a little more diverse. So to get back on track, here is some art by Pablo Picasso that is now on display at the Gangosian Gallery.

Mad Hatters

One of the highlights of the Royal Wedding was obviously the hats! Which is your favorite?

Just Married- Kate and William

Princess Kate looked nice! I did not know what to expect for her dress, but I have to say I would have never ever guessed Sarah Burton would have been asked to be the designer. I was thinking she would pick someone 'new' but she chose one of my favorite labels, McQueen to wear. Many people are comparing her choice of gown to Grace Kelly, and I see where they can see similarities, but it really didn't come close to Grace Kelly's. I honestly have to put my foot in my mouth because I didn't think Kate could pull off a 'show' that I would find any interest in. I never thought she had any twinkle about her. BUT, one thing I realized watching the 'show' is that this is her actual wedding and she has to do it in front of billions of people, and I kind of felt a little bad. I realized that it must be hard trying to be a 'princess' and uphold all these traditions when you just want to be yourself. So I must say, she was made for that position, and whether or not she appeals to me as this "modern princess", she played the part well today. And she looked great! Alexander McQueen would have been proud.

Iconic Movie Posters

OK, so maybe Clueless doesn't fit in the mix (it was a personal favorite), but these are some of the most iconic movie posters. What am I missing?? And NOT good movies, just really recognizable posters.

Reese and Christina Join the Circus

The theme of 1930s Circus is one I've always loves. The same imaging is being duplicated in Reese's Like Water for Elephants, which I'm excited to see. I love the theme of 1930s Circus is one I've always loved. And considering how hard it's been to get my business off the ground, that may be one option I'll have to consider soon. Have you seen Like Water for Elephants? Do you recommend it?

Korean Vogue

Polka Dots and Stripes. This cover is so cute! You see how each title is in English as well, wouldn't it be great if Vogue did that in the US?

FRAMES For Elisha

I love that these have a litle flare of personality
In my opinion, these are so chic, fun and trendy!
I like the shape, not the color. I think this shape would look cool on her
She loves purple, so I think these are a really cool 'substitute' pair that are fun. This is the style I think she used to wear when we were younger.

Or, she can be a little hip-hop? Maybe not.

My friend Elisha asked me to find some great frames for her, because she is about to go shopping for new eyeglasses. I have to admit, I'm not the best at this. But she told me she likes square and over-sized frames so I searched the internet for what I thought would be great for her. I really hope she likes these, and if not I hope at least one style inspires her decision. Which ones would you wear? Do you have any frames that you want to suggest? Let us know!

Claws Out

I just found these (insert adjective here) claw heels by Christian Louboutin. On one hand, this may have just gone too far. But on the other, I would love to wear these with some really dark denim and a gold shirt. So I'm completely undecided. How would you describe these?

Inspired by Antiques

The other day I was admiring the textures of the gates as I passed by. I love the designs of the metal so I wanted to find some cute items that reflected a cool antique vibe, that's still modern. Here are a few of the pieces I found, which do you like best?
