Fresh Face- Lee Hyun

She plays the doubles game. In Koren Vogue twice, Korean Harpers Bazaar twice, and the runway for Dries Van Noten twice. But shes only been modeling for a year! Lee walked the runways of Baby Phat, DVF, Anna Sui and Chanel's couture show in Paris. Here's a shot of her from Stilleto editorial... what do you think?

Worldview- Overland to India

Elise Overland designed her first Resort collection with inspiration from her travels to India. To be honest, I'm ready to be a jet-setter whose wardrobe is inspired by designer's collections, but I've never ever ever been a fan of resort. Ironically I worked retail on Madison Ave. for a store that only sold Resort attire. But it looks so phony! Tropical prints and cheesy patterns just aren't for me. But this Overland collection... I'm loving! This Resort collection is trendy, hot and sexy. Finally, a designer who uses their Resort collection as an extension of their line instead of some random frilly tropical designs. Love it. She moved up on my list and is one I'm going to follow a little more closely... and you should too.

Contrast- Resorting to Presidential Appeal

We're getting wooed by Jason Wu's Resort Collection. He has been on a high ever since dressing Michelle Obama for the inaugural ball. His collection was a soft-feminine/structured-tailored seamless mix. My favorite look was a baby yellow blazer (i want it!) with a very girlie (yet sophisticated) skirt. His make up trend-a must for this season for all girls- is a bold lip with pulled back hair. His clean, straight-lined approach with a hint of flare, is standard this season for all girls. During a time where money is low, but expectations still high, this is an achievable look on all budgets

Pink-Get Pressed

Summer's here! Its getting hot and and the air will feel heavy, but don't let your foundation weigh you down. These season stay away from creams and cream to powder foundations. Just like your mascara runs, the cream moves throughout the day. And with the added heat, creams and cream to powders clog your pores more than usual. Instead, pick out a light and easy pressed powder foundation. The powder will limit the shine and the pigment will cover any blemishes. Powder foundations are best for combination or oily skin. For those with dry skin, be sure to use a moisturizer specific to dry skin before applying the foundation. No matter the skin type, moisturizing before application is important because it keeps the skin from using the unnatural oils (found in make up and in the air) to moisturize itself. I personally love Nars Pressed Powder foundation. You look like you have nothing on, and not in need anything at the same time. Its perfect for a summer day look. Do you have it? Any other make up tips? Clue me in...
