Collision- Origami meets Fashion

In a few years I will be wearing Gianfranco Ferre everyday, every other week. What?... right now I'm broke. Here's the thing, I borderline how I feel about the whole soft look in general. Secretly (or not) I'm really into the screaming fashions. Flashy, gaudy, and maybe a tad raunchy is kind of what I'm drawn to. But now that I'm owning up to my more mature '19' year old self (i know, maybe I'm lying), and I'm kind of starting to dig the whole silk/lace thing. Gianfranco Ferre does it so perfectly and I realized... its all about the shape. Everything has a pleat, a flap, or a tuck. Its soft with a edge and nothing less than sophisticated. Ok, here's what wearing this takes me back to.... Remember when we were younger and we would watch the women who went to the boxing matches in furs, stilettos and tight sheath dresses? Ok, this is the modern version. Think of pairing this look with finger waves and a wine-red lip. You would be untouchable. Now think about being the first to wear this look... bold enough? I am... just give me the money.

Flashback Iconic- Hollywood Waves

Glimpses of old Hollywood glamour are reemerging. This futuristic phase slowly rolling out (Rihanna better revamp quick). The smooth purr-like seductive fluidity of fashion and glamour is creepy back. (YES!) But don't expect it to come full circle. The new trend will be paired with Fall's over the knee boots, chunky accessories, and Look-At-Me bags. Imagine Gaudy and Glam having a baby with Glam's genes winning out by 20%. Get it? Keep up. One way that this trend will hit big is with the hair. Fingerwaves are back (as I predicted in January). Now that everyone has chopped their hair in Rihanna-mania and have become extremely bored and overwhelmed by the constant maintenance (thus, breakage), an easy solution is ever so needed. Check out Beyonce's finger waves in her video Sweet Dreams. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbGV2_8Yqg4 And above is a pic of Halle with the style.

Pink- Pucker or Pout

Sugar launches its new lipstick. A sheer-tinted lipstick that hydrates, repairs and protects lips. Formulated with SPF 15, this lip hydrator is free of petroleum, parabens and synthetic dyes. Alina Roytberg, the brand founder, states "For extra pouty, plump. and protected lips, layer any Sugar Lip Gloss shade on top of Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15. You'll get double the moisture, extra shine, and protective benefits of SPF 15" This is a easy way for us girls so to green while wearing red.

Hidden- Immortal Boutique

It's Philadelphia's best kept secret! The only clue you have of it's existence is a small window display, but a treasure chest sits on the second floor at 18th and Sansom. Its called Immortal and its a small boutique owned by Ms. Caren Kreider. I walked inside and felt as if I entered another world. A world designed specifically for me (and you)! The boutique has unique vintage clothing, jewelery and accessories. Real vintage. Not costumes. Its a MUST visit for any fashion lover. Ms. Caren Kreider finds unique pieces from estates and reasonably resells to stylish individuals. She is impeccably dressed herself. Her fitting rooms are designed with glamorous pictures that take you into an era of pure style and beauty. The boutique makes you feel as if you opened your grandmother's jewelry box and everything was preserved at its highest quality. Alligator purses with unscratched lining, an antique rotary telephone from France, Chanel earrings..... the list is endless! This is a fabulous place to shop, a MosaMuse top favorite. Please visit and enjoy like I have enjoyed! 125 S 18th Street 2nd floor. 215.563.2344
