Forget vases, ashtrays and bowls. Japanese artist- Hayashi Shigeki uses ceramic art to create modern pieces. Shigeki illustrates his love science fiction, Japanese comic books and animation through his ceramic pieces. He has a blog that's written in Japanese and I wish I could read it to tell you more about him! All I can see now is that he has won numerous awards for sculpting and ceramics.
