Fashion Week- Alexander Wang Is Back!

Ok, we can all breathe again. Alexander Wang is back in action. (Yay!) Hes back to black, leather, and an amazing mix of separates that I can all be perfectly mixed and matched. I was less than thrilled last year. (But who am I to judge?) I know someone else probably loved the previous collection. But this one... this one is back to 'who' I know Wang to be. And I love it. Go buy his stuff. All of it.

Furaholics Anonymous

Louboutin Coyote Fur Boots $2,095
Marc Jacobs Gilda Fur and Sequin Bag $1.995
Burberry Coyote Fur $7970
Sam Edelman Leather and Faux Fur $300
H&M Faux Fur Vest $69

Here are some great fur and faux fur selections this fall/winter. Some of these go straight to the closet and others get checked on your wish list. Either way, these are some great references for you for when you are out shopping. I've been wearing my furs for the past two weeks even though its 58 degrees. Try to purchase faux furs even though real fur just looks better. I actually found GREAT faux furs in Theory of all places. Theory's selection of faux furs are the best I've seen in a while. And if you do choose to go real (which some people still do) pick mean animals like coyotes instead of cuddly chinchillas.... Just rationalize it this way: A mean and nasty coyote ate Jessica Simpson's dog Daisy. lol just kidding ladies. Do you (with consideration).

Let Your Lips Shine!

YSL Gold Copper
Chanel Gold Shine
Revlon Cherries In The Glow
Nars Orgasm

So I used to be completely make up CRAZY. I would do creamy foundation, lashes, eye liner, mascara, lip liner and gloss. I never really got into eye shadows or blushes...and probably never will. But my make up craze was not great for my skin. So I slowly started to peel back the layers, starting with the liners, then the lashes, and then the creamy foundation (subbing it with patchy concealer..blah and ugh). I left the gloss and mascara even though I calmed it down... I mean, I couldn't be completely boring. But I definitely felt like I looked like the girl who was oh so proud she didn't need make up... but REALLY looked like she could use it. Ugh... so drab. But now that I've been on my skincare routine (religiously), I swore off foundation and now I'm oh so thirsty for great glosses to accentuate my Maybelline mascara (I'll never switch). Here are a few great ones for the fall that step up your look and keep the attention on your the twinkle in your smile and eyes. Just so you know... Revlon's Cherry In Glow (#80) is by far my favorite... and the most inexpensive.

Bundle Up!

Urban Outfitters $58
TopShop $90
BCBG $118

Now that its getting cold, I figured I would give you some sweater options for the fall/winter. One trend I'm really loving is the grandpa sweaters with the elbow-patches, and you can find a ton of them at Zara. But because everyone will be wearing them, here are some other cute styles to consider. Sweaters and cardigans are always great with a little layering, chunky boots, and a nice dark denim. Go for the casual-sexy look this winter.

Fall Bootie

I really like these bright colored suede booties from Belle by Sigerson Morrison. Everyone tends to go really dark in the fall and winter and that seems to make everything a little heavy. I think you should use fall materials with bright colors to create a nice balance. You can find these here for only $240.
