Found My Frames!

So I have a small face and my favorite feature is my eyes. So nothing is worst than when you are told that you have to wear glasses. As a kid I was obsessed with wanting glasses because both of my parents had them. But at the ripe age of... well I like the number 19... I am not interested in hiding my face. And yes, there are contacts but they sit right on your eye and you can only imagine an eye infection in this uninsured world of mine. Anyway, back to the point. I found this Giorgio Armani frames and they are going right into the bag. So damn studious, sexy, and most importantly, simple! So for all of my 4 eyed friends, check these out. And I know its a host of posers who love statement frames, these are it!

September Goes Black

For the first time since 1989, Vogue will feature a black covergirl in a solo shoot. Disgusting, isn't in? In a world with a Black president running the most powerful country in the world, the images of beauty have primarily been all non-white. Yet, plastic surgery to get larger lips and butts are on a rise. Not to mention the addiction to tanning salons. But people are told Black isn't beautiful? I'm happy that Vogue is taking a step to increase diversity. And I have always loved designers like DVF who vocally make a point to increase the use of models of all nationalities. I know that fashion is loved because its all about imagination, but it is time for it to step foot into reality. Either way, MosaMuse is only a few months from being completely up and running. Oh yea, and the September covergirl is the very beautiful, Halle Berry! How could Vogue resist?

Posh Covers Turkey

Victoria Beckham is on the cover of Turkish Vogue. The shot looks great, particularly with the long stemmed martini glass. Cute Shot

Jourdan Dunn's Secret

She took time off to have her baby while she was reaching the height of her career. As her became a household name in America, she was posing along side of Chanel, Sessilee and Arlenis Sosa to suggest that there can be multiple black faces in the fashion industry at one time. The idea began to popularize and magazines began to shoot them all together instead of separate. Brands also began to take notice. Once of which was Victoria's Secret. Chanel was the first to sign with the company, which was a sure move to give her longevity in the industry. Recently, to all of our satisfaction, Jourdan began to pop up in the catalogue. Now all I can do is cross my fingers, because I would LOVE to see Sessilee (even though her look may be too forward for the standard look of an "angel") in the pages. But back to the point, I'm excited for Jourdan and I cant wait to see move of her this upcoming season.

Flashback Iconic- Gianni Versace

An unlucky 13 years ago, Gianni Versace was fatally murdered by Andrew Cunanan. In 1978 Gianni Versace started his company and held his first show. His designs very very sensual, and soared to popularity in the 80s. He helped celebritize fashion and brought a great amount of attention to the fashion industry. He was tragically shot on his steps in 1997, and his sister Donatella kept the company alive.

JPG's Diversity

MosaMuse has to salute Jean Paul Gaultier. Aside from always offering one of the most fun collections season after season, Jean Paul Gaultier is also offering a little dose of diversity into the fashion industry. For an industry that is supposed to be so ahead of the time, its idea of beauty is pretty antiquated. But off my soapbox and back to my salute- Jean Paul Gaultier uses an Asian, black and plus size model for his new ad campaign. Ping Hue, Kelly Moriera (we LOVE her) and Crystal Renn all are the face of his new fall 2010 campaigns. Hopefully other designers will get in line. Plus, a shout out to photographers Inez and Vinoodh for such a great shoot (and all their great shoots this fall)

Victoria Secret's Unfold

Alessandra Ambrosio is not only a Vicky Secret Angel, but also the face of Moschino. This. Ad. Is. Hot. I think it is completely amazing and it has such a retro fashion but super modern feel, that is blended so seamlessly. I would love to step into this outfit and get ready to bullfight.... with no problem. I love that this ad makes you want to jump right in and play, which had been missing for a while. But now that your inspiration is back, I'm sure many of you will be taking trips to Spain!

Zoe's Envy

Here is Zoe Saldana's new ad campaign for Calvin Klein. You guys know I love all Calvin Klein ads, and this one goes on the list. She does have a more squeaky image than the rest of the celebs that usually get the gig, but she really holds her own and looks great.
